Jinnah’s spirit enters his body when he is abroad: BJP rips into Rahul over his US speech

BJP leader said that Congress was not able to ‘digest the fact’ that Narendra Modi has destroyed the family fiefdom with his inclusive development policy and all this outburst is an outcome of that setback.

New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday launched a scathing attack on Rahul Gandhi for his tirade against Prime Minister Narendra Modi & BJP-led dispensation, at an event in US’s San Francisco city.

BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that whenever Rahul is abroad, Jinnah’s spirit enters his body.

“I would suggest him to come to India and get exorcism done from a good exorcist”, the senior BJP leader said.

He further said that Congress was not able to ‘digest the fact’ that Narendra Modi has destroyed the family fiefdom with his inclusive development policy and all this outburst is an outcome of that setback.

Naqvi claimed that Rahul equates democracy with dynasty and was ‘on a mission’ to defame India, whenever he is abroad.

Earlier in the day, Rahul addressing a gathering of Indian diaspora, slammed the Modi government and said that democratic institutions were being crushed in the country, people being threatened while investigative agencies being misused to silence its detractors.

Rahul’s remarks gets bashed

Rahul’s controversial remarks on ‘oppression of freedom in country’ drew angry comments from BJP. UP Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya said that there is stark difference in how Indians see themselves under Cong & BJP governments.

“Under Congress rule, the NRIs felt insulted, today they are respected across the world because of Modi govt,” he said.

Union Minister Anurag Thakur too tore into Rahul over his California speech.

“He has worked to malign India’s image only on foreign soil. Congress is unable to digest PM Modi’s global popularity. Congress is unable to digest the hope through which the world sees India. Rahul Gandhi act is unacceptable,” said Anurag Thakur.
