Kohli should divorce Anushka: BJP MLA’s weird advice for ‘objectionable scene’ in the Web series

New Delhi: Actress Anushka Sharma has produced a couple of Bollywood movies and they have also struck chord with the audience.

Paatal Lok is her first digital venture as a producer but the web series is already surrounded by controversy. A legal notice was recently issued to Anushka for hurting Gorkha sentiments in a particular scene.

Now, BJP MLA Nandkishore Gurjar has lodged a complaint against the producer Anushka Sharma in Delhi’s Loni police station.

The BJP legislator has levelled serious allegations against the movie and has demanded sedition case against Anushka Sharma. He claims that the Gurjar community has been shown in bad light in the movie.

Bizarre statement on Virat-Anushka

BJP MLA leveling allegations over distorted portrayal of the Gurjar community is understood but he goes overboard to launch personal attack on the iconic pair.

NandKishore Gurjar says that cricketer Virat Kohli should divorce Anushka Sharma for doing disservice to the nation. He however, defended Kohli for leading India.

Venting one’s angst and disappointment with the movie is understood but such bizarre remark is certainly unbecoming of an elected representative.

Why Gorkha community angry with web-series

The Gorkha community got miffed with a scene where female police officer is heard hurling racial slurs at a Nepali character.

Taking exception to a particular scene in the web-series, the Gorkha community launched an online petition, demanding the word be muted, the subtitles be blurred and an apology be issued. They also want the edited episode to be uploaded, replacing the existing one.
