New Delhi: A day after the Yogi government accepted Priyanka Gandhi’s offer to arrange 1,000 buses for migrant labourers but UP minister Sidharth Nath Singh has said that many of the registration numbers provided by Congress are of two-wheelers and three-wheelers.
Sidharth Nath Singh has said many of the vehicles that Congress has arranged to ferry migrant labourers are in fact smaller vehicles such as motorbikes and cars or autorickshaws.
‘The Congress has no sympathy for the migrants and just wanted to politicise the issue’, he said

The list of ‘buses’ sent by Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi claiming to be that filled with migrant workers stranded at Delhi-UP border contains blacklisted numbers, cars and even three-wheeled wonder autorickshaws.

One bus with Registration number RJ14TD1446 which as per the list sent by Priyanka Gandhi is driven by Gajendra Singh. However, it is registered under Motor Cab.
“The offer made to the chief minister through the letter on May 16 in connection with the migrant labourers has been accepted,” Additional Chief Secretary Awanish Awasthi said in a letter sent to the private secretary of Priyanka Gandhi on Monday.

Meanwhile, Priyanka Gandhi, in a letter to UP Additional Chief Secretary (Home) has claimed that the UP government asking for handing over the buses she has arranged for migrant workers is ‘political move’. This despite the fact that UP government has accepted her own proposal of using the 1,000 buses she has claimed to have arranged.
