New Delhi: Congress party on Tuesday moved a No-Confidence Motion against Modi government in the Lok Sabha, over the issue of Manipur horror. Earlier, Rahul Gandhi was likely to initiate the debate on No-Trust vote.
Among other Congress lawmakers who will corner government over its alleged silence & ignorance on the horrific treatment meted out to two women of Manipur, include Manish Tewari and Deepak Baij, reports said.
The motion was initiated amid din & pandemonium.

Gaurav Gogoi opens No-Trust Vote, says “Manipur wants justice”
While presenting the motion, Gaurav Gogoi said, “We are compelled to bring the No Confidence Motion. This was never about numbers but about justice for Manipur. I move the Motion that this House expresses No Confidence in the Government. I.N.D.I.A. has brought this Motion for Manipur.”
