Lucknow’s 100 parks set for revamp, open-air gym to become a medium

To bring this park transformation initiative to life through the installation of open-air gym equipment, the LDA has established a tender fee of Rs 4,366.

Lucknow: In its commitment to offer state-of-the-art amenities to citizens, the Yogi government is swiftly advancing the installation of open-air gym equipment in public parks across the state. Under the visionary leadership of CM Yogi, a detailed action plan has been prepared to complete this process.

As part of this action plan, the installation of open-air gym equipment has commenced in 100 parks within the state capital, Lucknow. On the instructions of the Yogi Government, the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has decided to expedite the project and allot the work through e-bidding process by issuing e-tender.

Application Deadline: November 10th

The last date for online submission of applications sought by LDA through e-tender has been fixed as November 10. The tender will open on November 11 to determine the successful applicant responsible for completing the project. Notably, this tender does not allow joint ventures; hence, only individual companies or firms are eligible to apply.

The chosen applicant will not only need to install open-air gym equipment in designated Lucknow parks within six months but also ensure their proper maintenance for a period of five years.

Transformation of parks will be done by spending Rs 3.66 crore

To bring this park transformation initiative to life through the installation of open-air gym equipment, the LDA has established a tender fee of Rs 4,366. Additionally, interested applicants participating in this tender will be required to deposit INR 7.32 lakh as an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD).

Sanjay Gandhi National Park

The e-tendering process will follow a two-phase approach: the first phase will assess eligible applicants through financial bids, while the second phase will evaluate them based on technical bids. Each applicant may submit only one application, and multiple submissions from the same applicant will be rejected. The company or firm that secures this tender through the bidding process will be responsible for adhering to the quality and maintenance standards outlined in the Uttar Pradesh Government’s rulebook.

Promoting health benefits through enhanced park facilities

The state government’s primary objective is to promote the health and well-being of the public by enhancing civic services in parks. The Yogi government is determined to extend this facility to citizens across the state, including the 2,400 parks in Lucknow. It is anticipated that, in line with this mission, the government will work diligently to expand this open-air gym initiative to 500 parks as swiftly as possible, with an initial goal of introducing this facility to 100 parks within the next six months.
