
New Delhi: A day after the tragic incident in Maharashtra, similar mishap happened in Dewas of Madhya Pradesh. A two-storey building collapsed at the Station road in the city. No reports of casualty have come yet but many are feared trapped under the debris.
The rescue operation is underway at the site of the incident.
“The incident occurred at Station Road. Seven people have been rescued so far. Municipal corporation and other teams are engaged in the rescue operation,” said Jagdish Dawar, Additional Superintendent of Police (SP), Dewas.
More people are feared to be trapped under the debris. Municipal Corporation officials and police staff are present at the spot. The building belongs to Zakhir Sheikh.

10 died in Raigad building collapse
Yesterday, at least 10 people died in a building collapse in Kajalpura area of Raigad district of Maharashtra. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) rescue teams undertook the rescue operation.
The Maharashtra government has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakhs each to the families of the deceased. Financial assistance of upto Rs 50,000 will also be provided to those injured in the unfortunate incident.
