Maggi sold at airport for Rs 193, Internet incensed over inflated cost; see viral bill

Many users were angry & incensed over skyrocketing price of Maggi at airports. A couple of them asked, ‘was it an aviation fuel?’

New Delhi: Shopping or dining at airports, irrespective of the city, comes at much higher price than markets. However, if you have to shell out close to Rs 200/- for a packet of Maggi, it is bound to shock & bewilder you beyond belief.

This is what happened with a YouTuber & Entrepreneur named Sejal Sud. She bought a packet of Maggi at the airport and ended up paying Rs 193/- for it.

Baffled & bewildered over such inflated price, she took to Twitter to flag the highly inflated price of Maggi at airports.

She also shared the picture of bill, which showed a plate of Masala Maggie Noodle priced at Rs 193/- and had the break-up of taxes & services levied on the same.

“I just bought Maggi for ₹193 at the airport. And I don’t know how to react,” she posted on Twitter.

Moments after she posted the bill, it spread like wildfire on social media and elicited numerous angry reactions from netizens.

As per available details, her tweet has garnered more than 7.6 lakh views and evoked strong reactions.

Netizens fume over sky-high price

Many users were angry & incensed over skyrocketing price of Maggi at airports. A couple of them asked, ‘was it an aviation fuel?’ while others said that Maggi, sold in local markets at maximum Rs 50 was being sold at four times higher price at the airports.

Many also shared their own experiences of how they paid exorbitant prices for a small cup of coffee or Maggi cup noodles.
