Mamata Banerjee’s first reaction on Atiq Ahmed’s killing, says “shocked by the brazen anarchy…”

New Delhi: West Bengal Chief Miniter today reacted on the killig of ganger-politician Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf last on Sturday night.

Mamata Banerjee in a tweets said that she is shocked by the brazen anarchy, and called it a total collapse of law & order in Uttar Pradesh.

It is shameful that perpetrators are now taking the law in their own hands, unfazed by the police and media presence.

Such unlawful acts have no place in our constitutional democracy.

Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf were shot dead days after gangster’s son was killed in an encounter with the Uttar Pradesh Police.

So far, Uttar Pradesh Police arrested three in this case. The have been identified as Arun Maurya, Lovlesh Tewari and Sunny Singh.

Following the incident, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath instructed the UP police officers to ensure that the law and order are maintained across the state and to remain on high alert.

Also, CM Yogi Adityanath ordered a high-level inquiry into the killing of Atiq and Ashraf.
