Mann Ki Baat: PM Modi praises unique Strawberry Festival in UP’s Bundelkhand region

Stating strawberry cultivation will be nothing short of a miracle for Bundelkhand, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that this initiative of the farmers will go too far to give a new identity to the region.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday referred to the unique Strawberry Festival happening in Uttar Pradesh in his ‘Mann Ki Baat’.

PM Modi said, “Now, there is growing enthusiasm about the cultivation of Strawberry in Bundelkhand, and one of Jhansi’s daughters – Gurleen Chawla has played a huge role in it.”

Strawberry is now being grown in the barren fields of Kutch – it is commendable how our nation is embracing new technologies to bring changes in farming. The unique Strawberry Festival in Bundelkhand region is a fine example, he further added.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the Strawberry festival in Jhansi.

While inaugurating the unique festival CM Yogi Adityanath said the initiative of growing strawberries will go too far to give a new identity to the region which is famous for its Valour & bravery.

CM Yogi Adityanath said that the farmers are now growing strawberries on their roof top and they have broken the image of Bundelkhand considered to have infertile land in the past.

Strawberry festival is being organised in Jhansi from January 17 to February 16 and its cultivation will help write a new chapter of growth in the region.
