Nadda’s new team: Tejasvi Surya as Yuva Morcha Chief, Mukul Roy as national vice president, Ram Madhav replaced
The new team of BJP office-bearers is announced almost 8 months after JP Nadda was elected as the BJP national president.
New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Jagat Prakash Nadda today announced the names of new national office-bearers of the party.
Dr Raman Singh, Mukul Roy, Annapurna Devi, Baijyant Jay Panda are among those appointed as national vice presidents of the party. While Tejasvi Surya, an MP from Karnataka, has been appointed as Yuva Morcha President and Rajkumar Chahar as Kisan Morcha President.
Bhupendra Yadav, Kailash Vijayvargiya, CT Ravi are among those appointed as national general secretary of the party.
The reorganisation comes ahead of the crucial Bihar assembly elections.
Raghubar Das, Raman Singh find place in Nadda’s new team
The new team announced by BJP chief JP Nadda on Saturday has former chief ministers of states, where the party lost assembly polls in the last nearly two years, as national vice presidents.
While former Chhattisgarh chief minister Raman Singh and former Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje continue as national vice presidents, former Jharkhand chief minister Raghubar Das has now been appointed vice president.
The new BJP team has been announced almost eight months after Nadda was elected as the party chief.
Apart from the three former chief ministers, West Bengal leader Mukul Roy has also been made national vice president.
Former union minister Radha Mohan Singh, who hails from Bihar and headed the panel to oversee the organisational elections, has also been made national vice president.
Ram Madhav dropped, Rajesh Aggaarwal is new party treasurer
Ram Madhav (the RSS leader who was drafted into the BJP), Murlidhar Rao (in-charge of the southern states) and Anil Jain have been removed from the top posts.
Dushyant Kumar Gautam, D Purandeswari, CT Ravi, Tarun Chugh and Dilip Saikia are in the list of the national general secretaries. Dushyant Gautam was earlier national vice-president of the party.
Rajesh Aggarwal as a treasurer of the party; the post had been vacant since 2014 after the incumbent Piyush Goyal was appointed a minister in the Narendra Modi cabinet.
