New Parliament Inauguration: Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar provides voice over for the special video

Shah Rukh Khan described the new Parliament building as a “new home for the people who uphold our Constitution” in the video.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi retweeted footage of the new Parliament building posted by celebs Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar late Saturday. Following PM Modi’s “special request,” various celebrities and political heavyweights posted videos.

On May 26, Prime Minister Modi posted a video of the new Parliament building. There was no dialogue or background music in the video. “I have a special request: please share this video with your own voice-over that expresses your feelings.” “I’ll retweet a few of them,” PM Modi stated.

Shah Rukh Khan described the new Parliament building as a “new home for the people who uphold our Constitution” in the video.

“The new Parliament building,” Shahrukh Khan observed while listening to a song from his film Swades. The new home of our dreams. A home for those who defend our Constitution, where 140 million Indians join one family.

May this new home be so large that it can accommodate everyone from every town, city, and corner of the nation. “May the new home’s arms embrace people of all castes, creeds, and religions.”

“A new Parliament building for a New India, but with the age-old dream of glory for India,” he captioned the video, to which PM Modi replied, “Beautifully expressed!”

PM Modi also retweeted the video, which included Akshay Kumar’s voice-over.

The new Parliament building was dubbed “an iconic symbol of India’s growth story” by Akshay Kumar. PM Modi agreed with the Bollywood star, saying the structure embodies the country’s rich tradition.

PM Modi’s retweets came just hours before he was supposed to open the new Parliament building in a lavish event on Sunday. Over 20 opposition parties, including the Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT), AAP, Trinamool Congress (TMC), and Janata Dal (United), boycotted the event.
