A Delhi court has issued fresh death warrants against the four Nirbhaya convicts and a new date for their hanging: February 1, 2020, at 6 am.

President rejects mercy plea convict Mukesh Singh
The rejection came soon after the Union Home Ministry forwarded the petition to the President.
President Ram Nath Kovind has rejected the mercy petition of 2012 Nirbhaya gang rape, murder convict Mukesh Singh.

The four convicts — Mukesh Singh (32), Vinay Sharma (26), Akshay Kumar Singh (31) and Pawan Gupta (25) were to be hanged on January 22 at 7 am in Tihar Jail. A Delhi court had issued their death warrants on January 7.
