India on October 21 marked the successful vaccination of 100 crore citizens against Covid-19. Definitely, it was a tough task for the country after the gut-wrenching circumstances and crisis India witnessed earlier this year, but this day will bear a historical significance throughout because of its success.

PM Narendra Modi rightly said, “We are witnessing the triumph of Indian science, enterprise, and collective spirit of 130 crore Indians.” To celebrate the hard works of all the frontline workers of our country such as doctors, nurse amongst others as well the support of the citizens, the Archaeological Survey of India under the Union ministry of culture illuminated 100 monuments all across India.

The illumination of 100 monuments in tricolour gave the message to the world that our motherland is slowly but successfully fighting against the pandemic. Here are some glimpses of a few monuments that stood highlighted on an auspicious day.

The Humanyun’s Tomb located in Delhi was illuminated in tricolour by the Archaeological Survey of India on October 21.

Agra Fort, the historic fort built during the Mughal dynasty was also lighted up.

Shah Jahan’s Taj Mahal took aesthetically beautiful with tricolour lights showered on them.

A popular visual of Red Fort on Republic Day changed its attire on October 21 with tricolour lights being illuminated on them.
