The Ram Temple in Ayodhya is being built at a cost of about Rs 1,000 crore and with a robust design & structure that will last for 1,000 years.

New Delhi: With construction work going on in full swing, the grand Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is taking shape and as proposed, the premises may be opened for ‘Ram Bhakts’ & devotees in less than a year’s time.

Champat Rai, the General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra on Saturday released latest pictures of the under-construction temple, dedicated to the Ram Lalla and said that the grandiose structure is getting ready.

The pictures show the increasing speed at which work is being done at the Temple. Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra has been releasing the pictures of construction work, from time to time.

According to those privy with construction work, about 50% of construction work has been completed.

There has already been strong buzz about the Ram Temple getting ready by late 2023. Plans are afoot to complete the sanctum sanctorum of Lord Ram by December 2023 and open it for devotees by Makar Sankranti, next year.

Sources suggest that the idol of Ram Lala would be about 51 inches and will be installed at platform built in the sanctum sanctorum.

The Ram Temple in Ayodhya is being built at a cost of about Rs 1,000 crore and with a robust design & structure that will last for 1,000 years. To ensure longevity of the temple, steel joints in the walls have been done away with and replaced with copper joints as the latter is insulated against corrosion & rust.

IHCL to build 2 luxury hotels in Ayodhya

While the temple gets ready for devotees, the Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), has signed agreement to build two new hotels in Ayodhya. The hotels designed as Greenfield projects will be the first branded hotels in Ayodhya.
