Over 16 lakh healthcare workers administered Covid-19 vaccines so far

The Health and Family Welfare Ministry said that more than 33,000 people have been inoculated in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, the COVID-19 recovery rate reached 96.83% with the total recovery of more than 13,000 patients in past 24 hours.

New Delhi: More than 16.15 lakh healthcare and frontline workers have been administered Covid-19 vaccines in the country so far. The Health and Family Welfare Ministry said that more than 33,000 people have been inoculated in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the country’s COVID-19 recovery rate reached 96.83% with the total recovery of more than 13,000 patients in past 24 hours.

More than 1.3 crore Corona positive cases have been recovered from the disease, said the Health Ministry, indicating that Covid-19 active cases are on a continuously declining trajectory in the country.

5.70 lakh Corona tests in last 24 hours

Presently, the total number of active cases in the country is 1.84 lakh which comprises only 1.73 per cent of the total positive cases.

The Health Ministry said, 131 deaths have been reported during the last 24 hour taking the toll to one lakh 53 thousand 470 across the country.

As per ICMR data, over 1,000 laboratories across the nation have conducted more than 5.70 lakh corona virus samples during the last 24 hours and more than 19.23 crore tests have been done in the country so far.
