
Over 93% people believe, PM Modi is handling the Corona Crisis well: Survey
New Delhi: PM Modi has always been people’s favorite and now even personalities like Bill Gates are appreciating him for his leadership. We all know-how hardworking and responsible is PM Modi and it is the turn of Indian citizens who expressed their trust and belief in PM and his administration. In a survey conducted by IANS – C Voter, over 93 percent of people opined that Modi is handling the Corona crisis effectively.
According to the tracker conducted from March 16-April 20, the number of people planning ahead, captured by the Index of Preparedness is going ahead by stocking up more rations and medicines or keeping aside money to purchase them.
The IANS – C-voter online survey has put forth the statement – “I think the Indian government is handling the coronavirus (outbreak) well” – was put forth before people between March 16 and April 21st, the answers were sought from the people.
Interestingly, the survey found out that the percentage of people believing in Modi’s leadership shot up compared to the announcement of the first day of the lockdown. While 76.8 percent people had then believed in Modi, the second survey conducted during the lockdown 2 – as of April 21st – revealed surprising figure as 93.5 percent trust Modi is handling the crisis well.
IANS-CVoter COVID-19 Tracker further stated that most Indians are increasingly non complacent when it comes to the seriousness of the coronavirus threat and how seriously it should be taken.
A total of 54.4 per cent respondents say they either disagree or strongly disagree with the statement that “I believe the threat from the Coronavirus is exaggerated”.
Meanwhile just 37.9 per cent said they tend to agree with the assertion. While 38.4 per cent seem to suggest they tend to take the threat very seriously and 16% seem to take it just seriously. They have ‘strongly disagreed’ and ‘disagreed’ with the statement respectively.
Meanwhile, 23.4 per cent respondents appear to be overtly complacent who ‘strongly agrees’ that the threat from the virus is indeed exaggerated. 14.5 per cent said they ‘agrees’ to the statement.
