PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti placed under house arrest till further orders

New Delhi: Mehbooba Mufti, the president of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been placed under house arrest till further orders.

The PDP chief had led a protest in Jammu against the civilian killings on Wednesday and also demanded from the security personnel to hand over the bodies of the deceased to their families.

In an anti-terror operation on Monday, 4 people were killed in a gunbattle by the security forces which included 2 civilians.

A Pakistani terrorist, and his local associate Mohammad Amir, along with two civilians – Altaf Bhat and Mudassir Gul – were killed in the encounter in Hyderpora locality on Tuesday.
