PM Modi gives India’s cultural heritage global reach, describes Minister Kiren Rijiju on Twitter

New Delhi: It is a known fact that India is a very diverse nation due to many reasons, including religions, ethnicity, crops, and cultural heritage. In recent years, Prime Minister Narendra Modi put all his efforts to promote the cultural heritage of India at the global level. On Tuesday, Central Minister Kiren Rijiju took to Twitter to explain how PM Modi is promoting India’s cultural heritage.

In the tweets, Kiren Rijiju shared photos of PM Modi, wearing regional dresses, famous in the Indian states.

In the second tweet, PM Modi can be seen wearing a Kumaoni cap during his visit to Himachal Pradesh. Notably, the cap is famous in hilly areas among men and women. It is a part of their traditional dress.

In the third tweet, Kiren Rijiju shared two photos of PM Modi wearing the traditional dress of Arunachal Pradesh.

This photo was clicked in 2018 when he visited the state to lay the foundation stone for the Academic Block of the Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Science.

In the fifth tweet, Rijiju shared a photo of PM Modi spinning charkha to promote Khadi products. Notably, this photo was captured in 2017 when Mr Modi visited Sabarmati Ashram on the 150th birth anniversary of Shrimad Rajchandraji, famous as a guru to Mahatama Gandhi.

Rijiju also informed about the schemes promoting culture and heritage among people — The PRASAD (Pilgrimage Rejuvenation And Spiritual Augmentation Drive) and Swadesh Darshan.

He added that the UDAN scheme at airports helped to make air travel affordable and develop smaller regional airports to allow common citizens easier access to aviation services.
