
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Karnataka chief minister BS Yeddiurappa on Friday, regarding the situation arising due to flooding and heavy rain in parts of the states.
The Prime Minister assured all possible support and assistance in rescue and relief work.
Taking to Twitter, PM Modi said, “Spoke to Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray Ji regarding the situation arising due to flooding and heavy rain in parts of the state. My thoughts and prayers are with those sisters and brothers affected. Reiterated Centre’s support in the ongoing rescue and relief work.”

Both the states are battling crisis situation due to incessant rains. While severe downpour has cut-off some areas in Karnataka with supply of essential items apparently getting hit while in Maharashtra, the situation turned grim as usual.
