PM Modi to address conclave on ‘School Education in 21st century’ on Friday

The NEP 2020 aims to develop India into an equitable and vibrant knowledge society. It envisions an India-centred education system that contributes to transform India into global superpower.

New Delhi: Days after the launch of National Education Policy (NEP-2020), Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a conclave on “School Education in 21st Century” on Friday through video conferencing.

The two day conclave is organized by Ministry of Education and is part of the ‘Shiksha Parv’ celebration.

NEP-2020 marks the first major transformational change in nation’s education policy in a time span of 34 years. NEP-2020 is directed towards major reforms in both school and higher education level.

The NEP 2020 aims to develop India into an equitable and vibrant knowledge society. It envisions an India-centred education system that contributes to transform India into global superpower.

NEP-2020 brought a major overhaul in School Education in the country. From 10+2+3 education model, the country is now moving towards 5+3+3+4 curricular structure.

New Education Policy - 2

The NEP will bring about a paradigm shift in the country’s education system and create a robust educational ecosystem for a new Atmanirbhar Bharat.

Shikshak Parv is being celebrated from 8th September- 25th September, 2020 to felicitate the Teachers and to take New Education Policy 2020 forward.
