
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will review the situation related to COVID-19 and related aspects in the country at a high-level meeting today afternoon.
This comes after four cases of BF.7 sub-variant of Omicron were detected in India.
This Omicron sub-variant is driving the current surge of infections in China.

According to sources, the BF.7 cases were reported in India in July, September and November. So far four cases were reported, three cases were from Gujarat and one from Odisha.
On Wednesday, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya conducted a high-level meeting to review the COVID-19 situation in the country in view of the recent spike in cases of COVID-19 in some countries.
