New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday undertook a bike ride to Pangong lake in Ladakh, one of the most adventurous and most sought after journey by youngsters & travel enthusiasts.
The Wayanad MP also took to Instagram to shared his pictures of bike ride to Pangong lake.
As his bike ride comes on back of Bharat Jodo Yatra, this is seen as Rahul’s fresh outreach to woo the people of Ladakh region. Polling is slated to take place in Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council-Kargil (LAHDC-Kargil) in next few weeks.
While posting pictures on Instagram, Rahul wrote, “On our way to Pangong lake, which my father used to say, is one of the most beautiful places in the world.”

The Congress leader is likely to celebrate his father and former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi’s birthday, at Pongang lake, which falls on August, reported a portal citing party sources.
Rahul is likely to spend night at a tourist camp near Pangong lake. This is Rahul’s maiden visit to the country’s iconic & picturesque location. Pangong lake & some adjoining regions often occupy media space, when incidents of Chinese transgression near the Line of Actual Control (LAC) are reported.
Congress leader had come to Leh on Thursday on a two-day visit, however, he extended his stay till August 25.
Rahul Gandhi, in his maiden visit to Ladakh, also held an interactive session with over 500 youth in Leh.
Notably, the 30-member Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC)-Kargil is headed for elections in next few weeks.
