Rahul Gandhi writes to PM again, urges to stop ‘needless suffering of people’

Last month also, Rahul wrote a letter to PM Modi requesting an immediate stop to the export of vaccines in the wake of second wave of the virus.

New Delhi: Former Congress President, Rahul Gandhi wrote a letter to PM Modi criticizing the central government’s vaccination policy. Rahul said, “In such an unprecedented crisis, the people of India must be your foremost priority. I urge you to do everything in your power to stop the needless suffering that our people are going through.”

Congress leader in his letter blamed the Prime Minister and Central govt. for this ‘explosive spread’ of the virus. He said, “Your government’s lack of clear and coherent COVID and vaccination strategy, as well as its hubris in declaring premature victory as the virus was exponentially spreading, has placed India in a highly dangerous position: today the virus is growing explosively.”

Rahul Gandhi also gave some suggestions:

He requested the government to provide critical financial and food support to the poor people and to also come up with a transportation strategy for the people who will need it in case of a national lockdown.

In the end, Rahul urged PM Modi to stop thinking about the economic impact of a national lockdown as the cost of human lives is much higher than any economic loss.
