Rahul Gandhi’s jibe at PM Modi over VVIP aircraft gets strong retort from Rajyavardhan Rathore (VIDEO)

“Our jawans are being sent in non-bullet proof trucks to get martyred and for the PM — Rs 8,400 crores aircraft…. Is this justice?” Rahul Gandhi tweeted in Hindi today.

New Delhi: Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Saturday renewed attack on the Centre over purchase of VVIP aircraft and posted a video of ‘jawans in non-bulletproof trucks’, claiming that are being sent to become martyrs while government is purchasing expensive aircrafts for Prime Minister.

“Our jawans are being sent in non-bullet proof trucks to get martyred and for the PM — Rs 8,400 crores aircraft…. Is this justice?” Rahul Gandhi tweeted in Hindi today.

Alogwith tweet, he tweeted a video where several purported soldiers, sitting inside the moving vehicle, can be heard discussing how sending people in non-bulletproof trucks was a dangerous prospect.

Rahul Gandhi has been extremely critical of government’s decision to purchase 2 VVIP aircrafts at a time when the nation is battling pandemic crisis.

“On one hand, PM Modi has bought two aircraft worth Rs 8,000 crores. On the other hand, China is at our borders and our security forces are braving harsh cold to protect our borders,” Rahul said at farmer rally earlier.

BJP has dismissed Rahul’s allegations of ‘careless spending of govt money’claiming that the fleet of aircrafts is not only for PM Modi but it is upgradation of security which will serve all future Prime Ministers and Presidents.
It also claimed that the decision in this regard was taken in UPA regime and it’s the outcome of that.

Rajyavardhan Rathore --

Meanwhile, BJP’s Rajyavardhan Rathore has given it back to Rahul for raking up needless controversy and indulging in petty politics over aircraft purchase.

Rathore tweeted, “In Sri Lanka, former PM Rajiv Gandhi had sent IPKF without any territorial map… many soldiers were maryted. Is that your justice?”

Also, mocking at his Hahtras visit, the BJP MP asked Rahul, “when are you visiting Rajasthan for political tourism?”
