Rajasthan BJP chief Satish Poonia tests positive for COVID-19

Earlier on September 2, Deputy leader of the Opposition in the Rajasthan State Assembly Rajendra Rathore was tested positive for COVID-19.

Jaipur (Rajasthan): Rajasthan BJP President Satish Poonia has tested positive for COVID-19. Taking it to Twitter he  informed about his health.

“Yesterday, my COVID-19 test was conducted after I returned home. Even as there were no signs, I have been tested positive, and have been advised by the doctors to stay in isolation. I request all who came in contact with me in the last few days, to get tested. Thanks for the support,” he said in his tweet.

Earlier on September 2, Deputy leader of the Opposition in the Rajasthan State Assembly Rajendra Rathore was tested positive for COVID-19.

In Rajasthan, out of the total 84,674 coronavirus cases, as many as 70,674 have recovered, while 1,081 have lost their lives due to the infection.

As many as 83,341 new coronavirus cases were recorded in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 tally crossed 39-lakh mark on Friday, according to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

With 1,096 more deaths reported in the last 24 hours, 68,472 patients have succumbed to the disease. The total cases in the country reached at 39,36,748 including 8,31,124 active cases, 30,37,152 cured/discharged/migrated.
