Rajasthan minister Mamta Bhupesh has scant regard for Covid-19 norms, her Dausa event draws ire (VIDEO)

New Delhi: At a time when politicians and leaders should be seen leading the fight against deadly Coronavirus, this flagrant violation of Covid-19 norms is drawing anger of locals in Rajasthan.

Mamta Bhupesh, Women & Child Development Minister in Ashok Gehlot government has been caught flouting Covid-19 norms.

On the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti, the Minister led a gathering of people and then addressed a crowd where there was complete disregard of Corona guidelines. People were seen without masks and without any social distancing.

The Minister was participating in Kalash Yatra in Dausa district, which saw hundreds of people flocking the event without masks or social distancing.

This comes at a time when Rajasthan is witnessing spike in Corona numbers and Gehlot government has also banned all festivals in the state.

Rajasthan has imposed 6AM-6PM curfew in all districts

Per day Corona count is on all-time in the state as it recently breached 6,000 mark. Rajasthan government has already imposed certain restrictions to curb the pace of virus transmission.

Effective from April 14, a strict curfew is being observed in all cities in the state from 6 pm to 6 am.

All market places across Rajasthan have been ordered to shut down by 5 pm, while government offices would be required to close by 4 pm. All education and coaching institutes have been closed.

The number of guests at wedding ceremonies have been capped at 50, down from 100 at present.

All kinds of public events including social and political have been barred till relaxation of curbs.
