Rhea Chakraborty files fresh petition in SC, links Sushant’s death probe to Bihar elections

New Delhi: Rhea Chakraborty, the prime accused in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case, has filed fresh petition in Supreme Court, making sensational claims in the affidavit. The move is seen as a clear attempt to derail the investigation.

Rhea has levelled direct allegations on media and accused it of holding trial and ‘pronouncing her guilty’ even before the investigation.

In her affidavit, Rhea claims that media has blown the issue out of proportion and is resorting to sensationalization of the case.

The actress also drew a link between probe into Sushant death case and Bihar elections.

“The incident of Sushant death unfortunately happened in wake of elections in Bihar. This has led to the suicide case being blown out of proportion,” the actress said in her affidavit.

Rhea’s claims rubbished by Sushant’s family lawyer

Sushant’s family side has trashed the charges as outlandish and a diversionary tactic.

Sushant’s family has taken strong exception to Rhea’s bizarre linking of Sushant’s death and Bihar elections and called it an attempt by Team Rhea who have blood on their hands.

Meanwhile, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) today made fresh round of questioning to Rhea, his brother over the reported siphoning off money from Sushant’s accounts.
