New Delhi: RSS joint general secretary Manmohan Vaidya recently launched his book titled ‘We and the World Around‘ at an event in Delhi’s Ambedkar International Stadium on Thursday. The book is the first-ever compilation of crucial events of Manmohan’s life and also seeks to brief about the ideological foundation of the Sangh Organisation.
The event began with Saraswati Vandana and was led and hosted by senior journalist and ace writer Anant Vijay Kala.
Several eminent political figures including senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi, Mahamandleshwar of ABVP’s most influential Juna Akhara Swami Avdheshanand Giri Acharya, and chairman of Vaani Prakashan group Arun Maheshwari also marked their presence at the occasion of the book launch.
Murli Manohar’s dig at the west
During the event, Murli Manohar Joshi called out the hypocrisy and duplicity of the West by saying that America has been only in existence for the last 400-500 years, and prior to that, it was merely a group of private companies that later came together to form the state we know today.
The BJP leader further went on to raise a number of questions about America and asked, “Who is an American?” What is their identity?”
Drawing a comparison between India and the first world countries, the RSS leader claimed that America and Europe always think about their own interest while here in India, we do care about each and every person and the book sheds light on the same.
No other organization like RSS
Later, Manmohan Vaidhya addressed the night and said, “It’s not an easy thing to understand RSS without being a part of it. there is no other social organization in the world that can be compared to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.
He further spoke about the book and said that it talks about the misconceptions that have been spread against RSS by the people of a particular section of society and how they have changed people’s opinions and perspective about the organization.
Some Indians are supporting Hamas
Following Vidhya’s address, Mahamandleshwar of Juna Akhada also graced the stage and addressed the crowd. Speaking about the ongoing armed conflict between Israel and Hamas, Swami Avdheshanand said “What concerns me is that 17 lakh Israeli Muslims are supporting their country Israel over Hamas but in our country, many people are endorsing Hamas”.
A few other major guests that attended the event were ABVP’s Prachaar Pramukh (National Organising Secretary) Sunil Ambekar, Seh Prachaar Pramukh Narendra Thakur, former central minister Harshavardhan and Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) internet working President Alok Kumar.
