RSS worker hacked to death in Kerala’s Palakkad

The deceased received more than 50 wounds. An investigation has been launched to trace the accused who fled the scene after the incident. 

New Delhi: A Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) worker was hacked to death in Kerala’s Palakkad district, police said on Monday.

According to the police, the deceased,  27-year-old S Sanjith was waylaid and attacked when he was travelling with his wife on his motorbike. The incident took place at 9 am today.

Sanjith is told be attacked and killed infront of his wife when he was dropping her off to her workplace.

TheBJP District President KM Haridas has alleged that the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI), the political wing of the Islamist outfit  Popular Front of India (PFI), is behind the attack.

“Sanjith was being followed by the assailants in a vehicle, who first hit his two-wheeler bike and later when he fell down, he was killed infront of his wife. Such incidents are failure from the part of the police and state government in occurring such incidents in the state”, he added.

As per the police, “the deceased received more than 50 wounds. An investigation has been launched to trace the accused who fled the scene after the incident”.
