Sushant Rajput died of strangulation and not suicide, claims family doctor citing AIIMS doctor

Sushant’s family lawyer took to Twitter saying, “The doctor who is part of AIIMS team told me long back that the photos sent by me indicated 200% that it’s death by strangulation and not suicide.”

New Delhi: Sushant Singh Rajput’s family lawyer Vikas Singh has claimed on Friday that an AIIMS doctor had told him many days before, that the actor’s photo suggested that he was allegedly strangulated and it was not a case of suicide. The doctor is said to be part of the AIIMS team investigating the Sushant death case.

The senior advocate revealed this while venting his frustration over the delay in slow CBI progress in the case.

Taking to Twitter, lawyer Vikas Singh tweeted, “Getting frustrated by the delay in CBI taking a decision to convert abetment to suicide to Murder of SSR (Sushant Singh Rajput).”

“The doctor who is part of AIIMS team had told me long back that the photos sent by me indicated 200% that it’s death by strangulation and not suicide,” Singh tweeted further.

Recently, a meeting between CBI team and AIIMS forensic team got postponed due to some unknown reasons.

After taking over probe in Sushant’s death case on August 6, the CBI team had roped in AIIMS forensic team for reviewing the autopsy report prepared by the Cooper Hospital, so as to ascertain whether there was any foul play in his death, as was being claimed by family.

Reacting to these claims, AIIMS forensic team head Sudhir Gupta said that there were ligature marks on Sushant’s neck but that can’t confirm it to be a suicide or murder. He added that investigation is going on and they need more evidence to call it a murder.

Rhea Chakraborty - Sushant

Sushant Singh Rajput, 34, was found hanging in his apartment in suburban Bandra on June 14, after which the Mumbai Police had lodged an Accidental Death Report (ADR) and came under heavy criticism for drawing conclusion without enough proof in hand.

On July 25, Rajput’s father K K Singh lodged a complaint in the matter with Patna police against Rhea Chakraborty, her parents and brother Showik alleging them of abetment of his son’s suicide. He also alleged that Rhea and family had siphoned off Rs 15 crore from his son’s bank account.
