New Delhi: In a landmark event, PM Modi today launched physical distribution of Property Cards under the SVAMITVA Scheme. A huge step towards digitalising grassroots, transforming rural India.
The move will pave the way for using property as a financial asset by villagers for taking loans and other financial benefits.
“A historic effort towards rural transformation,” PM Modi tweeted. He also said that he is delighted that such great work is being done on a day that has historic importance. “Today, is the birth anniversary of Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan and Nanaji Deshmukh,” PM Modi said at launch event of distribution of property cards.

Schools, wells, toilets, small reservoirs for water will all be geo-tagged. This will help in clarity of processes and end corruption.
