‘Tumhare pairon ke neeche zameen nahin, lekin tumhen yakin nahin’: PM Modi’s jibe draws laughter (VIDEO)

Among the most sarcastic jibes were, when PM Modi said that “the whole ecosystem got excited & jubilant over someone’s speech” and when he cited Pushkar’s poem and recited a few lines to mock the Opposition.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, replying to the Motion of Thanks on President’s Address in Lok Sabha on Wednesday took a series of jibes at the Opposition, drawing cheers and laughter among the members in House.

PM Modi started his address by taking swipe at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, without taking his name. He said that many leaders in the House made their remarks depending on their mental strength & capability, a comment directed at Rahul & Opposition.

Among the most sarcastic jibes were, when PM Modi said that “the whole ecosystem got excited & jubilant over someone’s speech” and when he cited Pushkar’s poem and recited a few lines to mock the Opposition.

‘Tumhaare pair ke neeche zameen nahin, kamala yeh hai phir bhi tumhen yakin nahin’, PM Modi said, prompting cheers & laughter in the house.

In another shot at Congress, he said that Congress downfall and also those responsible for it will become a case study for every big university including the Harvard University. Notably, Rahul in his LS speech had said that Harvard University should make India a case study and it should assess the relationship between country’s mushrooming businesses & politics.

Giving a strong counter to Opposition’s diatribe on the Centre over latter’s links with Gautam Adani, PM Modi said that the rivals should thank the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for uniting them. It may be noted that Opposition parties have often tore into the Centre, accusing it of misusing central agencies to silence its critics.
