New Delhi: Union Minister Ramdas Athawale tested positive for COVID-19. He has been admitted to Bombay Hospital as a precautionary measure, confirmed his office.
Taking it to Twitter, Athawale informed about his health.
माझी कोरोनाची चाचणी पॉझिटिव्ह आली आहे. खबरदारी चा उपाय म्हणून रुग्णालयात दाखल होण्याचा वैद्यकीय सल्ला पाळणार आहे. या दरम्यान माझ्या संपर्कात आलेल्यांनी खबरदारी म्हणून आपली कोरोना चाचणी करून घ्यावी. प्रकृती चांगली आहे. काळजी नसावी. सध्याचे नोयोजित कार्यक्रम रद्द केले आहेत.

Earlier, the 60-year-old Union minister was seen in a viral video chanting “go corona, go corona”. He can be credited with coining this slogan which was later mocked at on social media.

On Monday, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, too, had tested positive for coronavirus and was admitted to Breach Candy hospital in South Mumbai on the advice of doctors where he is undergoing treatment for coronavirus infection.
