UP artists shine at 24th National Youth Festival, win gold & silver medals

Young artists from Uttar Pradesh proved excellence at the recently held 24th National Youth Festival by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. The artists came out with flying colours, winning gold and silver medals.

New Delhi: Yogi Adityanath government has been working round the clock to empower women and farmers and for promoting young talent from all strata of the society. Providing employment to state’s youth has been one of top priority of Yogi government as it seeks to build a strong pool of youth power.

Young artists from Uttar Pradesh proved their excellence at the recently held 24th National Youth Festival by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. The artists, belonging to small towns of the state came out with flying colours while surpassing their contemporaries from other states. They won Gold Medal in the Art and Theater genre of expression while won Silver Medal in music and dance competitions.

The State Youth Festival was organised in 2 phases for selection of young artists at the state level by the Directorate General of Youth Welfare and Prantiya Rakshak Dal PRD). In the first phase, competitions were held between December 17 and 19 while in the second phase, they were held from January 2 to 4. The selection was done based on 23 activities.

These players won awards

Anita Devi and her team from Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh won gold medal by presenting a street play which conveyed a social message. Vishal Singh Vishen of Gorakhpur won the Gold Medal in Standup Comedy. Along with this, Sharad Anuragi and his team of Mahoba who performed a collective folk song, won a silver medal in the music genre. Dheeraj Thapa of Saharanpur won the Silver Medal in Contemporary Dance.

Mudita wins gold in National Youth Parliament
