UP: BJP MLA Vinay Shakya ‘goes missing’, daughter claims father kidnapped amid reports of him joining SP

New Delhi: Hours after Minister Swami Prasad Maurya quit the UP cabinet and joined Samajwadi Party, a shocking development is coming to the fore.

BJP MLA Vinay Shakya has gone missing and his family is searching for his whereabouts even as some reports suggest that he may be joining the Samajwadi Party.

Vinay Shakya’s daughter today issued a video and said that his father has been abducted by his own family members and also said that he was keeping unwell. BJP MLA’s daughter also accused her uncle and grandmother behind the ‘abduction’ plot and claimed that they had forcibly taken him to Lucknow. Reports of him joining the Samajwadi Party ahead of elections are doing the rounds.

BJP MLA’s daughter claims that they are BJP followers by heart and therefore some family members have resorted to ‘coercive’ against her father.

In the video, she also informed about his father’s ill health after he suffered brain stroke last year and expressed thankful to doctors & Yogi govt for hands-on treatment.

“I would like to thank Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for forming a high-level panel for his treatment. CM also met my father at PGI 4-5 times. My father’s ability to think has dwindled. My uncle Devesh Shakya and grandmother took my father to Lucknow,” she says in the video.

In the video, she also urged the state administration to help locate his father.
