UP ranks fifth in total revenue collection among states

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh has recorded 16 percent increase in its GST revenue in April 2022, compared to April 2021, the latest official data has revealed. The GST revenue of UP has increased from Rs 7,355 crore in the month of April, 21 to Rs 8,534 crore in April, 2022.

The data further points out that UP ranks fifth in terms of total GST revenue collection among states, thanks to a series of pro-active financial measures undertaken by the State Government led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. UP ranks after Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu in revenue collection.

In terms of percentage of growth in GST revenue collection, UP is far ahead of states like Kerala, West Bengal, Chhatisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand, the statistics reveal.
