Lucknow, Nov 27, 2021: Uttar Pradesh on Saturday witnessed the steepest decline in the number of fresh cases as the state limited the infections to 5.
Along with that, the Active Covid Caseload in the most populous state has been reduced to 86 now.The Covid-19 control mechanism in Uttar Pradesh gets further strengthened as 44 districts have become free of Coronavirus with active as well as fresh Covid-19 cases declining to zero.
5 fresh cases reported in the last 24-hour
The drop in fresh and active cases in Amethi, Amroha, Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Badaun, Baghpat, Balrampur, Banda, Barabanki, Bareilly, Basti, Bhadohi, Bijnor, Bulandshehr, Chandauli, Chitrakoot, Etah, Etawa, Fatehpur, Firozabad, Gonda, Hamirpur, Hardoi, Hathras, Jaunpur,Jhansi, Kasganj, Kushambi, Kushinagar, Lakhimpur Kheri, Mahoba, Mainpuri, Mau, Mirzapur, Moradabad, Pilibhit, Pratapgarh, Rampur, Shahjahanpur, Shamli, Shravasti, Siddharthnagar, Sitapur and Sonbhadra indicate complete elimination of coronavirus from over 64 per cent of the state.
In what comes as another relief, none of the 75 districts in Uttar Pradesh have reported fresh cases of coronavirus infection in double-digits lately.
The Active Covid Caseload in the most populous state which was at a high of 3,10,783 in April, has been reduced to 86 now, whereas states like Kerala and Maharashtra account for a heavy active caseload.
Recovery rate over 98.7 per cent:
Out of over 1.39 lakh samples tested in the last 24 hours. In the same period, another 9 patients also recovered from the infection, adding to the recovery of over 16,87,377 people so far.
Proactive measures such as the aggressive ‘Trace, Test & Treat’ and prevention through vaccination and Partial Corona Curfew to eradicate the pandemic, the UP government is reaching the last mile within the state to curb the spread, as a result of which the positivity rate has slumped to lower than 0.01 per cent.
UP continues aggressive testing
Scaling up the stringent testing mechanism, the state is managing to break the covid chain with effective protocols in place, and by sticking to the time-tested strategy of case isolation and contact-tracing, combined with an alert community surveillance system. Uttar Pradesh has tested the maximum number of samples so far – over 8.71 crore.
Covid Vaccination: UP closer to administering 16 crore vaccine doses
Uttar Pradesh has administered over 15.72 crore vaccine doses so far and that is no small achievement. The impressive pace of COVID vaccination has made Uttar Pradesh ‘the top state’ with the largest population in the country.
UP has set an example in front of other states of the country, besides controlling the infection in a short time. On the other hand, Maharashtra lags with 10 crore doses delivered so far.
