Uttar Pradesh Holi festival: Above 60 years of age, children below 10 years of age & people with co-morbodities not to participate

New Delhi: Amid COVID-19 scare, Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday issued guidelines ahead of Holi festival.

According to the guidelines, no procession will be carried out without prior permission. Also, people above 60 years of age, children below 10 years of age & people with co-morbodities are asked not to participate in the festival.

Meanwhile, in view of the rising coronavirus infections in the state, focus testing will be done across the state till March 27.

To check the spread of the infection, samples of people working in shops, people living in slums, jails and old-age homes will be taken.

This year Holi will be celebrated on March 29 (Monday).
