Veteran journalist Vinod Dua passes away, daughter Mallika Dua writes emotional post

Mallika Dua shared a picture of her father and wrote, “Our irreverent, fearless and extraordinary father, Vinod Dua has passed away.”

New Delhi: Veteran journalist Vinod Dua passed away on Saturday after fighting a prolonged illness. He was 67.

The news of his passing away was revealed by his daughter Mallika Dua’s post.

She shared a picture of her father and wrote, “Our irreverent fearless and extraordinary father, Vinod Dua has passed away. He lived an inimitable life, rising from the refugee colonies of Delhi to the peak of journalists excellence for over 42 years, always, always speaking truth to power.”

Dua was a pioneer in broadcast Hindi journalism and worked with most reputed media organisations including Doordarshan, NDTV, and The Wire.

The veteran journalist was admitted to Gurugram’s Medanta hospital, along with his wife, with COVID-19, during the second wave in India.

Mallika had lost her mother Padmavati Dua in June after she was tested positive for COVID-19 in May.
