New Delhi: Mamata Banerjee fails to pronounce “Khublei” and “Mitela” while addressing a public rally in the poll-bond state of Meghalaya on Wednesday.

She not only failed to pronounce thank you in both  Khasi and Garo languages (she was trying to thank people in their language), she also added that she will learn the language from Youtube.

Now the video of her wrong pronunciation has gone viral on social media.

She made the wrong pronunciation at a  large public rally in the North Garo Hills district’s Mendipathar area of Meghalaya.

The video was shared on the Facebook page of Shillong_scroll and the admin tagged Mukul Sangma and AITC Meghalaya in the post.

The video has so far received 3K views and several people have reacted to the post.

As she speaks, Mamata Banerjee can be seen wearing a traditional Garo head band-known as “kotip.”

Mamata Banerjee also tried her hands at the traditional drums and danced to the traditional Garo tunes.

Also, a video of Mamata Banerjee’s nephew Abhishek Banerjee was shared on the same page where people appreciated him for not fooling the public like TMC supremo.

Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee were in Meghalaya’s North Garo Hills on Wednesday where she kicked off the election campaign for her party.

Ex-Chief Minister and Former congress leader Mukul Sangma was also present at the event.

On Wednesday, the Election Commission announced the schedule for Assembly elections in the northeastern states of Tripura, Meghalaya and Nagaland. Elections in all these three states will be held in February-March this year. Results will be announced in all three states on March 2, 2023.
