West Bengal Elections 2021: BJP worker found hanging in Coochbehar, party accuses TMC

Another BJP worker was found dead a week in ago in the Birbhum district. Bapi Ankur, a booth worker in Bengal was found dead on the banks of Shal river.

Coochbehar: A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Mandal President was found dead near party office in Dinhata, earlier today.

“It’s a pre-planned murder. They (TMC) want us (BJP workers) to just sit at home out of fear but we will continue our fight,” said a BJP worker.

Meanwhile, Amit Malviya has claimed in his tweet that BJP has lost 130 workers of their Bengal cadre due to these ‘political killings’ in the state.

Another BJP worker was found dead a week in ago in the Birbhum district. Bapi Ankur, a booth worker in Bengal was found dead on the banks of Shal river and his family alleged that he was strangled to death. BJP also registered a complaint with the Election Commission regarding this matter.

On the other hand a TMC worker was also found dead on a road near the Neutra bus stand area in the Jhargram district. TMC accused the BJP cadre for his death.

Elections to the 294-member West Bengal Assembly will be held in eight phases starting from March 27 with the final round of voting on April 29. The results will be declared on May 2.
