While Bengaluru burnt over FB post, a group formed human chain to protect temple (VIDEO)

According to ANI, a group of Muslim youth had gathered outside the temple and formed a human chain to protect it from arsonists after violence broke out in the city.

New Delhi: While the IT city of Bengaluru burnt last night with a mob setting fire to vehicles and houses on fire and inflicting heavy damages to DJ Halli police station, a video has emerged which shows a group of men lining up to protect the temple from arson.

According to ANI, a group of Muslim youth had gathered outside the temple and formed a human chain to protect it from arsonists after violence broke out in the city.

Since late night, several videos have been circulating on social media, showing the violent scenes in Pulekeshinagar, which ranged from torching of vehicles, pelting of stones and damaging property inside the police station premises.

Congress MLA Srinivas Murthy’s residence in Bengaluru was also attacked and vandalised, allegedly over a provocative social media post by his nephew.

Murthy’s house was attacked by people for an alleged controversial post on Facebook regarding Prophet Muhammad by his nephew Naveen. The mob torched many cars and vehicles while they unleashed violence on the streets in front of KG Halli police station.
