New Delhi: The Mumbai Police on Tuesday apprehended an actress & casting director named Aarti Mittal for allegedly running a prostitution racket in the city. The sex racket was busted after cops got a whiff of the flesh trade and filmed the sequence of events in a secret camera.
According to police, the 27-year-old model was ‘supplying’ fledgling & aspiring models to customers in top hotels. The police sent two dummy customers to the hotel after ‘striking a deal’ with Aarti Mittal for sending two girls, with an intention to catch them red-handed.
The two models were rescued and sent to rehabilitation centre, after being caught by the cops. These models reportedly told police that they were paid Rs 15,000 for fulfilling sexual desires of customers.
The entire operation was done by Social Service Branch of Mumbai Police, reported Mid Day.
Who is Aarti Mittal?
Accused Aarti Mittal’s full name is Aarti Harishchandra Mittal and she is a native of Mumbai, currently residing in Aradhana Apartments of Oshiwara.
She is a small time actor and for sometime, has been running ‘recruitment drive’ for aspiring/emerging models. According to police, she was tapping young girl into prostitution by offering them quick & handsome money.
How Aarti Mittal ran sex racket?
According to police, the casting director used to send pictures of these girls to mobile phones of customers. And, after getting a nod from them, these girls were escorted to the hotels & inside the rooms of customers. In some case, she would personally take them to ‘clients’.
In this case too, Mittal sent pictures of two girls to constable’s phone and informed that these girls will be brought to Juhu or Goregaon based hotels.
The constable booked 2 rooms in hotels and also placed 2 dummy customers there. Aarti Mittal herself came with these 2 young women & also supplied the customers with condoms.
All have been arrested and are under arrest. An FIR has been lodged for running prostitution racket and pushing emerging models into sex trade.
