New Delhi: Hashtag “Who is Shah Rukh Khan” trends on social media after Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday asked, “Who is SRK”.
He made the remark when he was asked by the reporters about protests by a rightwing outfit in Guwahati against the release of SRK’s film Pathaan.
Meanwhile, today taking to Twitter Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan called him late at night and the superstar expressed concern over reports about protests ahead of Pathaan’s release.
He said that he had assured SRK that the Assam government will maintain law and order and also ensure that no such incident takes place during the release of his film.
On Friday, several rightwingers allegedly stormed into a cinema hall in Assam’s Narengi and vandalized the property, and burned down the posters of ‘Pathaan’.
