New Delhi: Congress leader Salman Nizami is being trolled on social media for his 2013 Tweet saying that women provoke rape themselves.
He wrote, “Women provoke sexual assault by their appearance. Sexual attractiveness is a primary reason why a rapist selects a victim.”
Meanwhile, the leader has deleted his 2013 Tweet on January 8, 2021.
He even said that “Only attractive women are raped.”
Salman Nizami is close to Rahul Gandhi and was reportedly appointed as the Joint Secretary of the J&K Pradesh Congress Committee in 2014 at his behest. He had even campaigned for the Congress in Gujarat in 2017.
