Yogi govt announces library & memorial for Sudiksha Bhati, gives financial assistance of Rs 15 lakh to family

UP CM Yogi Adityanath extended financial assistance of Rs 15 lakh to Sudiksha Bhati’s family and also announced that a library and a memorial will be built in the memory of the bright student.

New Delhi: Family members of Sudiksha Bhati, who died after falling off bike in a road accident, met Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath at his official residence today.

CM Yogi Adityanath shared the pain of family and said the it was not just a loss for family but for the entire nation.

Sudiksha Bhati was a bright student of Bulandshahr and was studying in United States with Rs 4 crore scholarship. She was pursuing a graduation course in entrepreneurship at Babson College, Massachusetts (US), on a scholarship and was scheduled to go back on August 20.

The chief minister extended financial assistance of Rs 15 lakh to the family and also announced that a library and a memorial will be built in the memory of Bhati.

Local MP Surendra Nagar also announced a financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh to the family.

The Chief Minister said that the library that would be set up in Sudiksha’s memory would inspire other students to study hard.

Sudiksha Bhati died on August 10 in a road crash apparently after being chased and harassed by eve-teasers. However, police claimed in its investigation that it was not a case of harassment. She fell off the bike while riding pillion with her cousin.

The family later speaking to reporters, said that they were thankful to the Chief Minister for his concerns towards their family.
