Yuva Chetna national coordinator Rohit Singh visits floot-hit Ballia, distributes relief material to needy

New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh’s Ballia is among the worst hit districts of Uttar Pradesh. Life has come to a grinding halt here as the rising water level in Ganga river has turned many villages of the district into ‘small islands’.

 

 

While the villagers are finding it extremely difficult to fulfil their basis needs, a unique & noble initiative of Yuva Chetna team & its national co-ordinator Rohit Singh is drawing wide applause from all quarters.

Rohit Singh & his team visited many flood-hit areas of Ballia and distributed relief materials to the needy & displaced villagers. Overcoming many difficulties, they reached out to many inundated villages via boats and handed out relief packets to locals.

Later, speaking to media persons, Yuva Chetna national co-ordinator said that devastating times like these call for active participation of whole society, especially those who are adequately capable of doling out handouts.

He also made a fervent appeal to the well-off and affluent sections of the society to come forward and contribute in fighting the flood menace.

Rohit Singh says his team will distribute relief materials not just in Ballia but in all flood-affected areas of the Purvanchal region. Notably, the torrential rains in last few days have led to floods in many low lying areas of various districts including Prayagraj, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Bundelkhan’s Mahoba, Itawa & Jalaon.
