Zomato Offers ‘Dahi Shakkar’ to Paytm on its ‘big-day’, tweet keeps social media buzzing

Paytm responded with a warm pic of Zomato's well known face 'Sonu', the food delivery executive who had gone viral in a Tik-tok video.

New Delhi: Indian multinational technology company Paytm, that specialises in digital payment systems, e-commerce, and finance opened its initial public offer (IPO) for subscription on Monday.

The three-day IPO will be closing on November 10. Paytm’s IPO is considered to be the highest in India at $2.46 billion (Rs 18,300 crore).

As Zomato has already been in the place with its much-hyped IPO earlier in September, the food delivery giant has sent its good wishes for paytm in a unique way. Zomato tweeted, “if you need some dahi shakkar for good luck, ice cream for the stress, or some sweets for celebrations (wink wink) we are right here!”

Paytm responded with a warm pic of Zomato’s well known face ‘Sonu’, the food delivery executive who had gone viral in a Tik-tok video, expressing his happiness in a goofy smile after earning Rs.350 for a 12 hour shift. Zomato had also changed their profile pic to Sonu’s smiling picture at the time.

“Thank you @zomato, dil khush kar diya”, Paytm replied.

Meanwhile, several other brands and SM users stepped in as well to convey their celebratory wishes.
