Army Day 2021: Sudarsan Pattnaik pays tribute Indian Army with sand art

Army Day 2021: Sudarsan Pattnaik celebrated Army Day by paying a tribute to our Indian Army.

New Delhi: India is celebrating its 73rd Army Day today. To commemorate the day, artist Sudarsan Pattnaik created an incredible sand art at the Puri Beach in Odisha. The famous sand artist paid tribute to the Indian Army with his creation at the beach.

For his majestic artwork, Pattnaik made portraits of soldiers who fight to protect our country. “#IndianArmyDay #JaiJawan Salute to our Heroes . Jai Hind!” the text on Pattnaik’s artwork reads.

Sudarsan Pattnaik shared an image of his creation at the beach with his followers on Twitter.

Army Day is celebrated on January 15 every year, in recognition of first Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army, Field Marshal KM Cariappa’s taking over as the from the last British Commander-in-Chief of India, General Sir Francis Butcher on 15 January 1949.
