Chef gives ‘papad’ twist to Italian Pasta, Netizens calls it ‘AMAZING’ (Video)

An Indian Chef Saransh Goila shared a fusion recipe named ‘Papad Aglio e Olio’, where he gives an Indian touch to the classic Italian Pasta ‘Aglio e Olio’.

New Delhi: Technology these days, doesn’t only enables creativity, but nurtures it. Social media platforms like YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and more are all filled up with every creative fusions that netizens can possibly think of; let it be clothing, design, music and more. Fusion becomes even more interesting when it comes to food.

Now in a fresh instance, an Indian Chef Saransh Goila shared a fusion recipe named ‘Papad Aglio e Olio’, where he gives an Indian touch to the classic Italian Pasta ‘Aglio e Olio’.

‘Aglio e Olio’ is a traditional Italian pasta dish from Naples that is made by cooking it with olive oil, garlic, and cheese. Goila decided to make it his own by replacing pasta with our favorite, papad. Sharing it on Instagram, he cuts the papad into few pieces and boils them with olive oil. After it acquires the velvety pasta-like texture, he takes it out and starts preparing the ‘Aglio e Olio’ with the oil, garlic, and cheese. Later, he adds in the papad and stirs everything together.

The video was shared by him on July 26 and received over 30,000 likes with a wide range of reactions. While plenty of netizens seemed stunned by Goila’s artistry said they were longing to try this Papad-Pasta, others filled the comment section saying they were baffled at the combination of papad with pasta dressing. Many pointed out how papad itself has a taste which may not go well the other ingredients.

One user stated, “I’ll never look at pasta or papad the same way again”. Another user joked, “Italy aur Bharat ke sambhand khatre mein hain brooo.”
